Africa Mineral Intelligence · Closed beta · May 2026

The verification discount on African mineral assets is a methodology problem. The methodology is published.

Afrimintel scores 13 mineral provinces, holds 18 intelligence-grade deposit dossiers verified to primary source, and publishes every correction. The methodology reconciles to ±0.05 at every build. The audit log is public. The editorial responsibility is named.

Why it exists

DFI credit committees apply a verification haircut to African geological data that doesn't exist for Canadian or Australian data.

The discount isn't a judgement on the geology. It reflects thinner verification chains — fewer NI 43-101 sign-offs, harder-to-reach primary sources, higher methodology opacity. Afrimintel exists to close that gap. Not cryptographically. Methodologically.

Sourced. Derived. Or absent.

Every numeric claim sits in one of three states. No fourth state. Methodology published at /quality-standard. Material errors corrected within 7 business days.

Province scores reconcile to formula.

Every province score = (MSP × 0.6 + IC × 0.4) × Opportunity Multiplier. Pre-deploy gate blocks any build where displayed score deviates by more than ±0.05 from computed. Methodology and platform cannot drift apart silently.

AI synthesis with provenance contract.

Every AI claim cites tier (verified / inferred / speculated / database absent). 95% baseline compliance measured (v1.0.13 baseline, April 2026); v1.0.18 schema with field-level provenance (reserve / resource / basis / dispute_status / last_reviewed) live across intelligence-grade dossiers. Runtime audit card on every response.

"We replaced unattainable 100% accurate framing with an operational standard.
Sourced. Derived. Or absent. No fourth state."

What we do differently

Five disciplines, all published.
Most platforms operate at least one of these. We operate all five.

What buyers tell us they often miss
  • The full scoring methodology — formula, weights, inputs, reconciliation
  • A public log showing every correction with date, source, and reasoning
  • AI / chat outputs grounded in source-tier tagging, not training data
  • Field-level provenance — basis, last-reviewed date, dispute status per record
  • A named, contactable editorial responsibility for every published claim
What Afrimintel publishes today
  • Methodology v1.1 at /methodology — formula, every input, reconciled Table 4
  • Public audit log at /audit-log — every correction since launch, filterable
  • AI provenance contract grounds every response; runtime audit card on output
  • v1.0.18 schema: reserve / resource / basis / dispute_status / last_reviewed at field level
  • Editorial responsibility: Nikesh Patel, Honorary Consul of Rwanda in Mauritius — named, contactable
Built for

DFI credit officers. Sovereign capital. Government partners. Junior CFOs. The seats that move money on Africa.

DFI / Investor

First-pass deal screen. Comparable transactions. Country risk composite (Fraser + CPI + NRGI + EITI weighted). DCF / NPV scenario tooling (test battery v1.0 spec drafted, validation pending). Synthesis card exportable to IC memo.

Government / Ministry

Country intelligence. Coverage gap mapping at province scale (~9.5M km² uncovered across 13 provinces). Bilateral programmes tracked. Pitch builder for PDAC / Indaba. Survey opportunity sizing per province.

Junior Mining / Hardware

Province comparison for jurisdiction pivot decisions. Drill cost precedents from real NI 43-101 phases. Capital raise context. Tender scanner for survey work.
