Effective from 19 May 2026. Applies to all Afrimintel subscriptions and project engagements.
Subscription tiers are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. This applies to both monthly and annual subscription cycles.
You may cancel any subscription at any time to prevent the next renewal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; platform access continues until that date. There are no early-termination fees and no penalties for cancelling.
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable for early cancellation. Pro-rated refunds are not offered when an annual subscriber cancels mid-cycle; the subscriber retains full platform access until the end of the paid annual period.
Project Engagement work (per the $5,000–$150,000 tier) is governed by a written engagement letter executed at the start of the engagement. The engagement letter specifies:
Refund terms for Project Engagements are case-by-case and follow the executed engagement letter rather than this standard policy.
Specific situations warranting refund consideration outside standard policy are handled case-by-case. Examples include but are not limited to: subscription billed in error, service unavailability of material duration, accidental duplicate subscriptions, or other operational issues attributable to Afrimintel.
If you believe your situation warrants review outside the standard policy, email nikesh@afrimintel.com with the relevant detail (subscription identifier, date, reason for review). Editorial responsibility on Afrimintel is singular; refund-policy review decisions are direct and timely.
Afrimintel subscriptions are billed via third-party payment processors. Receipts and invoices are issued by the payment processor on Afrimintel's behalf. Refunds processed under this policy are returned via the same payment processor and to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days of approval.
Where you reside in a jurisdiction that grants statutory consumer-protection rights stronger than this policy (for example: UK consumer cancellation rights for digital content under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; EU member state digital-content cancellation provisions; or comparable statutory rights elsewhere), those statutory rights apply notwithstanding any provision of this policy.
Afrimintel may update this refund policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the platform audit log and effective from the date specified in the update. Existing subscribers' refund terms are governed by the policy in effect at the time their subscription was initiated unless a more favourable provision is introduced in a later update.
