Government take — what the state collects

Afrimintel carries 46 government mineral-revenue figures across 23 African jurisdictions, each read from a primary EITI report or an official government document and carrying the currency and year it was reported in. Trade-press figures are excluded; several proved wrong on primary check. Machine-readable: /api/v1/fiscal-revenue.json.

How much the mining/extractive sector pays governments, each figure read from a primary EITI report or official document — never trade press. Read live from /api/v1/fiscal-revenue.json. Currency and year stated on every row; trade-press figures were excluded and several proved wrong on primary check.

Jurisdiction interest disclosure.

Afrimintel's Editor-in-Chief holds two positions in the Great Lakes region: Honorary Consul of Rwanda in Mauritius, and Chairman of MUA Insurance Rwanda. Neither role involves mining, mineral assets, or any company appearing in this layer, and neither carries any interest in the outcome of any record in it. They are disclosed here because this layer carries records on jurisdictions to which those positions relate, which makes them material to a reader assessing those records. Coverage and treatment of these jurisdictions are on the same terms as every other jurisdiction; the positions constrain who Afrimintel transacts with, not what it publishes. See /methodology/independence/ §7. Independence Policy §7.

Extractive revenue to government by jurisdiction — rendered at build time from /api/v1/fiscal-revenue.json (dataset v2.137.63, as of 2026-08-18). Every figure carries the state, source and date the feed carries. This static table is replaced by the interactive one when scripts run.
